In my country, Nigeria, I envision a society where life is cherished and respected, free from the shackles of neglect and disregard. Every individual deserves to live with dignity, unencumbered by limitations and excesses that stifle their potential. The inherent value of life should be recognised and protected, from the highest echelons of power to the humblest of homes.
This value of life encompasses decency, respect, and protection. It’s about creating an environment where the mentally ill are cared for, not left to wander the streets, and where human life is shielded from shame and indignity. It’s about ensuring that the deceased are treated with reverence, not left exposed on roadsides or decaying in waterways.
My dream for our nation includes:
– Well-maintained infrastructure, free from potholes and hazards that claim lives
– Safe roads, where accidents are minimized through genuine construction and maintenance
– Quality healthcare that prolongs life, with accessible hospital services and a ban on fake drugs
– Immediate medical facilities that provide timely care and attention
– Eradicate corruption that drains public resources and infringes on citizens’ rights.
In this envisioned society, life is valued, respected, and protected. Every individual has the opportunity to thrive, and our collective humanity is reflected in the way we care for one another. This is my dream for the value of life in our nation – a dream of dignity, decency, and compassion that guides our actions and decisions.
