The Kemta Adire Kampala Festival was held on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at the historic market place in the heart of Abeokuta. This vibrant celebration honored the rich cultural heritage of Adire, a traditional textile art form that has gained international recognition.
Adire, which translates to “tie and die,” is more than just a technique – it’s a concept that showcases the creativity and skill of Egbaland’s native artisans. Using ordinary textile materials, these talented individuals have elevated 
Adire to a globally acclaimed art form, putting Egbaland on the world map.

The festival also acknowledges the significant contribution of Osogbo town in Osun State to the evolution of Adire.
