Traditional Workshop for the Kingmakers of Apomu, facilitated by the Iwarefa of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, was a profound gathering dedicated to strengthening the institution of traditional leadership through knowledge, wisdom, and cultural responsibility.
A kingdom endures not merely because of its throne, but because those entrusted with its customs understand the sacred weight of their duties. Àṣà ni ìpilẹ̀ ìjọba; ẹni tí ó bá sọ àṣà nù, a sọ ìtàn ara rẹ̀ nù—culture is the foundation of every kingdom; whoever abandons it also abandons their own history.

This capacity-building workshop reaffirmed the need to institutionalise our traditional processes correctly, preserve our customs faithfully, and pass our heritage to future generations without dilution. The wisdom of our forebears remains our greatest compass, for a people without memory cannot secure their tomorrow.
May our royal institutions continue to flourish in truth, dignity, and the enduring spirit of Yoruba civilisation.
