The unveiling of the transformed Idi Ere Aafin Ake was met with awe and admiration. The project’s first phase, expertly designed and delivered by Kenyan artist Esther I. Odanga, exceeded expectations. It was supervised by Abiodun Lasile.
This impressive renovation was made possible by Otunba Dr. Adebola Akindele FCA DBA, Atunluse of Egbaland, CEO of Courteville Business Solutions, and Lagos Man of the Year 2017.
Under the visionary leadership of Kabiyesi Oba Alayeluwa Dr. Aremu Gbadebo CFR Okukenu IV, The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Idi Ere has been beautifully restored to its former traditional judicial sitting area of the Ogbonis. ‘Egba dotun laiye Adedotun’ indeed! I was formally commissioned in April, 2018Cultural preservation and restoring Idi Ere to its former glory as a traditional judicial sitting arena. The project’s completion and commissioning was in November 2018 which marked a significant milestone in the preservation of Egba culture and tradition.
