“He’s risen” is a phrase often associated with Easter, symbolizing Jesus Christ’s resurrection and entry into his glory. According to Luke 24:26, Jesus’ resurrection marked his transition into a heavenly existence, where he entered his glory. In the ancient kingdom of Enlonka, nestled amidst lush forests and rolling hills of Oke Ogun, there lived a wise and enigmatic sage named Abiodun Lasile. He was renowned far and wide for his profound understanding of truth and the art of discerning real facts from falsehoods. The District Officer’s (DO) residence, situated in Oke Igbein, was once the epicenter of power, where the DO resided and oversaw the town’s affairs. However, times have changed, and power has become decentralised, lacking a fixed location. This shift has led to a sense of disconnection from the past, with structures being referred to as “nomadic” – a term originally used to describe communities without fixed habitation. As Fela Anikulapo once said, “This is how teachers teach nonsense.” The…
This historic building, once utilised by the Nigerian Police for various departments including CID and Highway Patrol, was located within the police station premises at Ibara. However, it has been demolished to pave the way for road expansion in Oke Igbein, a strategic area bordering Ibara, Ijeja, Itori Odo, and near Igbore. It used to be opposite Ibara Baptist Church and the location is traditionally Oke Igbein. You dare not be recommended or asked to report at Oke Igbein!
