I was born in Ibadan, at the Sodeinde area (Race Course) and grew up at NW4/70 Salvation Army Road, Ekotedo, Ibadan (Ile Baba HM Suberu)
Ni Ibadan ni won bi mi si emi won Baba won loni ile…
All my arena of childhood eregele was Ekotedo Iyaolobe, Idi Oro, Oke Padi, Dugbe Alawowo, Cooperative Corner, Omitowoju, Inalende, Adamasigba, Sabo and other dangerous horo-si-horo.
My knowledge of Ibadanland was following the popular King of Boys and Egungun. With these two escapades I knew many areas of Ibadan.
As Omo soja, awa Omo lile! I went to Army Children School, Eleyeye and Mokola, Ibadan. This was my other training ground including Race Course and Golf Field. We go waka from Sabo to Layipo through Dandaru to Igbo Agala.
It’s great fun that I have fond memories of my childhood and the places that shaped my experiences. Nostalgically, sweet!
iFelicitate HIM Oba Rashid Ladoja, Olubadan to ilu Ibadan. Kabiyesi o!
