Today, The SixthSense Initiative remembers a dear friend and champion, Olatunde Ayinde Oladunjoye, fondly known as CATO. His passing leaves an indelible mark on our hearts, and we honour his memory with gratitude.
CATO was more than just a friend; he was a passionate advocate for children’s education and reading culture. When others were skeptical, he saw the value in our initiatives and offered his unwavering support. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his presence at our events inspired us to continue our mission.
We recall the day he surprised us by attending our Children Reading Competition Programme at OOPL Abeokuta. His humble nature shone through as he declined to be recognized at the event, choosing instead to observe and learn. His subsequent confession that the programme was “worth its worth” warmed our hearts and validated our efforts.
CATO’s compassion and generosity were evident when he attended our SixthSense Summer Children Reading Camp at Idi Aba. He not only delivered lectures to the campers but also made a generous donation to support our cause. His selflessness and commitment to empowering children through education left an lasting impact on our organization.
To us, CATO was a good man because he invested his time and resources in our initiatives. His kindness, humility, and passion for children’s education inspired us to strive for excellence. Though he may be gone, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, including ours.
Rest in peace, dear CATO. Your memory will continue to inspire us to promote children’s reading culture and education.
