heritage. Built in 1930, this iconic edifice commemorates the centennial anniversary of the Egba people’s settlement in Abeokuta in 1830, marking their migration from the Egba Forest. The arrival of the Egba people was followed by other groups, including the ancient and revered Owu people, who have all contributed to the rich cultural tapestry of the region.
