The Handover and swearing ceremony for a new set of Executives of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) in Ogun State held on Saturday at the Palace of Olowu of Owu on Oke Ago Owu in Abeokuta.
The three-in-one ceremony was attended by eminent authors and leaders including the Olowu of Owu, Oba (Professor) Saka Matemilola who served as the Chairman of the inauguration ceremony.
The new officers, elected at the Association’s monthly meeting in November, formally took-over at the ceremony, which commenced promptly at noon.
The officers included Orunto of Owu Kingdom, Chief Abiodun Lasile, Who was elected Chairman,
Pastor Dare Folarin as Vice Chairman; and Mr. Matthew Simpa as General Secretary.
Others were Mr. Gbenga Ogunsola as Treasurer, Mr. Akinyemi Makinde as Assistant Secretary and Mr.Samuel Ogunyinka as Public Relations Officer.
Members of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and the South West Authors Forum (SWAF) were Present at the event.
